I have been more and more impressed with CVS over the past few years. Not only are they the only pharmacy I use, their line of store brand products gets better all the time. Their Gold Emblem line offers a fabulous assortment of delicious, affordable snacks that exclude MSG and trans- fats whenever possible.
CVS wants to remind families of their great line of snacks as the days grow shorter and cold nights often lead to some family style relaxation. Whether it is a movie night or a family game night, snacks are a must! I was thrilled to sample some of their newest Gold Emblem products and here were my favorites:
- Gold Emblem Select Maple Leaf Cookies: If you could somehow bake the season of fall into a cookie, these are exactly what the cookie would taste like. They are shaped like maple leaves had a creamy maple creme made with real maple syrup sandwiched between two crunchy cookies. They were really delicious and I brought them to work to share with my office mates and they were a real hit. I loved that 1 cookie was only 70 calories so I could have a sweet snack with no guilt!
- Gold Emblem Dark Chocolate Pomegranates: I love the sour taste of pomegranates but mixed with dark chocolate, they are even more divine! There is nothing better than a sweet treat that has some healthy benefits!
- Gold Emblem Berries & Cherries Nut Clusters: These clusters were really delicious. They reminded me of a granola but were in bite-size clusters. The combination of the cherries and nuts was fantastic and I have already purchased another bag!
- Gold Emblem Vanilla Bean Coffee Cookies: I am not a huge fan of coffee-flavored foods but these were amazing. The coffee flavor was present, but not overwhelming and blended perfectly with the vanilla. I typically drink my coffee with vanilla flavored creamer so this was a perfect blend for me.
- Gold Emblem Butter Popcorn: My family absolutely loved this popcorn. It had a really delicious buttery taste and a soft crunch to it. It was perfect for movie night at our house!
