Review: I have always had extreme anxiety when it comes to going to the doctor. Something about the whole process makes me very nervous so I usually only go to my PCP when it is really necessary. Two months ago I had a serious infection that almost sent me into renal failure. Needless to say, I have been very worried about the infection returning but don't feel it is appropriate to see my doctor just to address my anxiety when going there causes me to be anxious in the first place. Within an hour or so of posting my question, a nurse practitioner answered what she could and asked for additional information to give me further guidance.
