I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to review a Beauty Box full of some fun products:
- Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion: Clinically proven to improve the health of skin in one day, this moisturizer is formulated to help prevent dryness.
- Review: My skin has been getting very dry as the colder weather has been rolling in. I have been using lotions every day several times a day but my skin has still been very dry. This lotion worked great and my skin felt smooth and nourished. The trial-size lotion was perfect for my purse. My skin thanks Beauty Box Five for including this one!
- Model Co Illusion Lip Pencil: This unique, nude pencil easily enhances your natural shape while keeping lips soft and nourished with cocoa and shea butter.
- Review: I really was not sure how well a nude lip liner could work but since I don't usually wear lip liner I knew I had nothing to lose by wearing it. Amazingly, it did help make the natural shape of my lips look more pronounced. Plus, it helped to soften the outer part of my lips which are always susceptible to chapping.
- Swissco Glitter Toe Separators: Designed to make you feel like a princess during your pedicure.
- Review: These are a fun take on the original version of toe separators. After all, if your toe nails are going to look fabulous, why not start the fab look while you are painting your nails!
- La Fresh Travel Lite Facial Cleansing Wipes: Packed with aloe vera, cucumber, chamomile, marshmallow, and tea plant botanical extracts are found in this hydrating, oil-free facial cleansing wipes that work with all skin types.
- Review: Perfect for travel, these great scented wipes did a great job at removing makeup and making my skin feel fresh and clean.
- Nubar Alter Ego Nail Lacquer: Use alone for a translucent finish or over your favorite fall color for a glitter-studded top coat.
- Review: This is a really great nail polish. I love that it can be used with or without colored polish. It applies smoothly and evenly. The sparkles allowed me to add a little fun to my otherwise drab and professional look during the workweek and fit in well with my more festive weekend wear. I also appreciated that the scent was minimal.
I was not sure that the Beauty Box was worth the $12 price tag since they were all, with the exception of the Glitter Toe Separators and Illusion Lip Pencil, were travel/trial size. However, the Lip Pencil alone costs $20 so having one higher priced item really did make the box worth it. I liked all the products and I would be interested in receiving subsequent beauty boxes. If nothing else, it lets you try out products before you decide to buy.
