Gift Giving Suggestion: For the person on your list who is on their feet often

I love just about everything about baking, but I often suffer the next day. I have a bad back and fibromyalgia and standing on my hard kitchen floor for hours while I bake and decorate is fun while it lasts but catches up to me later. The WellnessMat is a leading line of anti-fatigue floor mats for the kitchen and the home. The mats are ergonomically engineered to provide maximum comfort, safety, relief, and overall well-being while you stand. It is advocated by health care professionals to promote proper circulation that reduces fatigue and back and extremity pain for anyone who stands longer than 20 minutes. The design also encourages better posture, muscle conditioning, and improved overall health.

Just in time for the holidays, they have introduced some new designs. The Antique Collection mats are designed to have the texture, character, and elegance of an aged mat. The Granite Collection offers a bolder appearance. They also offer a variety of other designs, colors, and sizes so you can find the perfect mat to fit your needs and your decor. Plus, they come with a seven year warranty and are 100% made in the USA!

Review: I had just finished a weekend baking marathon and could hardly move the next day when the Antique Bella WellnessMat arrived. I can't remember a package that I opened so quickly!  I could not believe who quickly and effectively the mat relieved pressure from my back and soothed by aching feet. My son, who has been aching from football, can't get enough of the mat. When he stood on it, he dropped down on the floor and rolled around on it begging me to let him just sleep on it!  After I reminded him that he was 10, not 2 and that he should get up off the floor (and off MY mat) I prepared to get back on it for more relief when my Bulldog moved in and hijacked my mat. In fact, she has been spending more time laying on this mat than on the pillows in our carpeted bedroom! I was not expecting to have to fight children and dogs for my mat!

The mat is quite heavy and it stays nicely in place on the floor. It easily wipes clean as well.  I have been able to use it several times now for lengthy food preparations and I am in significantly less pain than before. It is a hefty price tag, but honestly it is worth every penny.  I love that it comes with a 7 year warranty so you don't have to worry about the small investment not paying off. After using this mat, I can't imagine ever buying a cheap, decorative-only mat again!

Buy it here:  WellnessMats are sold through Williams Sonoma, Chef’s Catalogue, Sur la Table and hundreds of independent retailers nationwide.
