I have always loved Christmas. It is such a magical and loving time of year and I never thought that anything could come in the way of my holiday joy...and then in 2004 my father died suddenly. He was only 53 when he passed away and I had not even considered that my parents would not be able to see my children grow up. The first Christmas without him was so painful. One of the most therapeutic things for me was to dive into readings about after life and after death communication. I was lucky enough to have a couple of experiences after he passed that proved to me that he was still around even though I could not see him and these readings, my experiences, and the help of my friends and family helped kickstart my grief recovery.
Chicken Soup for the Soul: Miraculous Messages from Heaven: 101 Stories of Eternal Love, Powerful Connections, and Divine Signs from Beyond is a new edition from the classic inspirational series of books. The book contains stories from individuals who had their own losses and received signs and communications from their loved ones that proved to them that they are not truly gone. The book was nothing short of awesome. The stories are written by average people which makes the short stories extremely easy to read. They are very inspiring and extremely touching. Yes, I shed a few tears...okay, I shed a lot of tears. Reading about loss is never easy, especially after going through a significant loss myself. However, reading about others who have been touched by messages from beyond is extremely therapeutic and heart warming. I have purchased many Chicken Soup for the Soul books for friends who have lost parents and I am happy to have one more edition that I can now purchase and pass on to help others through their grief.
