World Vision Catalog Review and Giveaway!

The holidays are truly a time for giving, not only to friends and family, but for people in need. We are truly blessed in this country to have so many luxuries. The World Vision Catalog is one way to choose gifts for individuals around the world  (to include US children) that have real-life implications for families in need. Gifts, such as farm animals small business loans, and building supplies can mean the difference between survival and demise for many families in third world countries. Donations to US children will help purchase necessary supplies like disaster response supplies and school supplies.
Hand-woven headband
There are more than 250 items available to purchased. More than 30 gifts in the catalog are $35 or less, including items like chickens, job training, and school supplies. You can choose to give a gift in honor of someone else or can receive a tangible handcrafted gift along with a donation. Gifts include hand-carved serving spoons, a fair trade coffee set, handmade jewelry, and more.

Review: I was given the opportunity to review a Hand-woven Guatemalan Headband that is available as a gift with a $25 donation. The headband is 100% cotton and woven by Mayan descendants in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.  The headband is beautiful and bright and looks amazing as an accessory to a pink or purple shirt and really pops when paired with a black outfit.  It stayed nicely in place throughout the day and can be unfolded to create a more covered/bandana look. I don't typically wear such headpieces but after my husband kept complimenting me after the first day I wore it, I feel much more comfortable wearing it again and again. It is a very fun piece and I would love to receive one for Christmas!

The World Vision Catalog is a great charity and I have donated safely to them in the past. A donation in the name of a loved one can make a great gift, especially for the person on your list who seems to "have it all"!

Buy it here: You can shop for charitable donation options as well as bonus gifts from the World Vision Catalog website.
