Gift Giving Idea: For the hard-to-shop-for coffee-loving people on your list!

I cannot start my morning until I have a hot cup of coffee. While I can't control what unexpected things will come my way through the day, I can start my day off on a positive note with a delicious cup of coffee in hand. Booskerdoo is a micro roaster located in Monmouth Beach, NJ that offers a wide assortment of blends that allow you to enjoy great coffee right from the comfort of your own home.  The company knows that coffee tastes best within a week of roasting.  They roast the finest of beans and then package and mail them without having their coffee sit in a warehouse.

Review: I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to try two delicious blends of Booskerdoo coffee. Their coffee is shipped as whole beans and the smell of the samples when they arrived were out of the world! We have not had fresh ground coffee in our house in quite awhile so my husband practically flew out of bed when he heard me grinding beans the following day!

Their Black & Tan blend has light and dark roasted beans blended together. It's a mix of specialty grade Costa Rica La Rosa Naranjo SHG (the dark) and Fair Trade Organic Mexico Chiapas (the light).  I prefer a medium roast but this coffee, the combination of which reminds me of a medium roast, was outstanding.  The coffee was packed with flavor and was very smooth as well. I paired it with some flavored creamer and after my first cup I decided that this may just be the best cup of coffee ever!  My in-laws were visiting so I made them some coffee and they also commented on the smooth and delicious flavor.

I was also given the opportunity to review their Jersey Diner-Style Blend.  The company describes this as a "classic cup of coffee" . Classic - yes, but far from ordinary!  The mild blend has a combination of light roasted Colombia Excelso and a medium roasted Brazil Cerrado. The combo yields a rich taste with a hint of of a nutty flavor.  I usually don't enjoy non-flavored creamers but had to resort to milk when we ran out last minute.  I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to thoroughly enjoy the cup of coffee with no added flavors!

These coffees were really amazing but don't just take my word for it. I bet you will not be disappointed if you give them a try!  After grinding, their coffees can be brewed using an automatic drip, pour-over drip, vacuum pot, or French press.

Buy it here: You can purchase Booskerdoo coffees from the company's website. 1 lb bags start at $14.99.
