When your kids hear the word "Halloween", one of thire first thoughts is probably CANDY! As a parent, I tend to thinks about the after effects of Halloween - TOO MUCH CANDY! Every year I do a delicate dance of removing some candy from their bags on a daily basis so they won't notice to "donate" to my work colleagues. Too much candy at home means too much sugar, weight gain for all four of us, and rotting teeth. While I could do without any of that candy in our house, I have to be realistic and realize that candy and Halloween go hand-in-hand. So, I have to minimize the effects.
