When you think of CVS you may think of medications, vitamins, personal care items, or photos. However, they have a delicious line of Gold Emblem snacks that will make you think of scrumptious foods next time you hit the store! The Gold Emblem line is available exclusively at CVS and has been recently revamped with improved logos, packaging, and taste! The line boasts new ingredient guidelines to exclude MSG and trans fats wherever possible and key nutritional information on the front of the package to enable you to make a more informed purchase decision.
With the busy summer quickly approaching, I know I will be on the go constantly. Gold Emblem has a line of great options that are completely portable so you can have great snacks with you wherever you end up. There are many that are available in both to-go small packages as well as full size packages. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to review the following (in an adorable little car!):
Here were some of my favorites:
Gold Emblem Select Chocolate Bars: I am pretty picky when it comes to chocolate. I know when chocolate is of high quality when I can eat a very small amount and be completely satisfied. The Milk Chocolate with Almonds was tastier than I would have imagined from a drug store brand chocolate. The pieces literally melted in your mouth and were so flavorful. Plus, they lasted forever because one small square a day was all I needed to treat myself and feel completely satisfied! The Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt was, hands down, the BEST dark chocolate candy bar I have ever tasted. I am not a huge fan of dark chocolate because I don't like the bitterness but the salt gave it a unique flavor that was not at all bitter. My son, who likes dark chocolate, completely agreed with me and went on for a couple of day about how good the candy bar was!
Gold Emblem Classic Blend Trail Mix: I love the combination of nuts, chocolate candies, and raisins. It was so flavorful and the sweet and salty mix was to die for! The one serving bag was all I needed to keep full in between meals.
Gold Emblem Natural Pistachios: My husband is a huge fan of pistachios and I love that they may reduce the risk of heart disease. He loves the taste of these and says they taste just as good as brand name. I have been eating a bit more pistachios lately and have been enjoying these as well.
Gold Emblem Peanut Butter Filled Pretzel Nuggets: These were so tasty! The peanut butter in the middle was nice and soft and they were so delicious. They had just enough salt to satisfy any salt cravings I had and were quite filling. I shared the single serve bag with my husband and son and still felt satisfied with the small amount I ate.
Gold Emblem Cranberry Berry Mix Snack Size: I love cranberries and eat them in some way almost every day so this was a natural choice for me. The yogurt bites were also quite delicious though you may not enjoy this mix if you do not like walnuts. I am not personally a fan of walnuts so I would have preferred a different nut but this is just personal taste.
Gold Emblem Sour Neon Crawlers: These sour gummies were a hit with my kids. I am not a huge fan of this type of candy; however, these were much better than a lot of other brands I have tried. They were softer and had quite a bit of flavor packed into the tiny gummy!
