A lot of people choose to lose weight as a New Years Resolution, but here is another idea for you: resolve to be more eco-friendly this year! Pacific Foods is urging people to Become Carton Smart and is offering a lot of your favorite foods in Tetra Pak Cartons.

Tetra Pak cartons are much more environmentally friendly than other product containers because they are made of renewable source 70% paper from harvested, re-grown trees that are Forest Stewardship Council certified. These cartons use 1/3 of the packaging used in cans, are recyclable, and result in 60% less landfill waste compared to cans! Not only are they better for the environment, but they are also better for your home. These cartons use less space than cans (your cupboard will thank you) and they are reclosable so you can can keep leftovers right in the carton. Additionally, the carton packaging serves as a natural preservative without the use of unhealthy and toxic chemicals.

The best part of using Pacific Foods Tetra Pak cartons is that you can find your favorite foods and even common holiday items. One of my favorite holiday desserts this past year were my Pumpkin Whoopie Pie with Cream Cheese Filling so I was thrilled to see that Pacific Foods offered a pumpkin puree! Check out these delicious Whoopie Pies:
I really could not believe how many different food options that are available from Pacific Foods. They have the classic holiday products like Jellied Cranberry Sauce as well as Chicken Simply Stock.  They also offer a lot of choices if your New Years Resolution was to eat healthier such as almond milk, beans, and soups. Did I mention that their foods are also organic! I taste tested the Jellied Cranberry Sauce and it was really amazing. My husband really liked the Chicken Simply Stock (he is on a cleansing diet right now and has been consuming quite a bit of broth) and told me that it was extremely tasty. Organic + Eco-friendly + Tasty - it doesn't get any better than that!
